The X-2 HD Handguard was designed to provide the maximum amount of performance and still fit inside the current CMP/NRA Service Rifle Rules and are 2.25" DIA. It offers better barrel cooling, greater stiffness and a more useable gripping surface than any other handguard on the market. This handguard can be used in conjunction with the Aero Precision AR-15 or AR-10 (Armalite or DPMS Thread) barrel nuts that fit any standard AR-15 or AR-10 upper recievers. It can also be use with the Aero Precision M4 Enhanced and M5 Enhanced upper recievers. We highly reccomend using the M4 Enhanced or M5 Enhanced upper recievers as they provide the stiffest and strongest handguard connection as well as the strongest barrel nut.
